#ImproVVocal is a vocal journey where we experience the discovering of our real voice, its colours, how to use it and the magic of using it to vocalimprovise stories in many different ways in your scenes.
“Martina’s singing workshops should be mandatory for all improvisors.”
Rod Ben Zeev
Voice is an instrument, and if you can learn how to control it, you will be able to use it as a musical soundtrack but also as an active and perceptive protagonist in your storytelling. Voice, word and body are going to become as one. A journey from Circle Singing to Improvised A Cappella Vocal Orchestra exploring different uses of Music with Improv through spontaneous musical exploration and some vocal/musical tools in order to vocalimprovise stories.
Vocal Improvisation is a kind of new art itself, inspired from tribal groups all around the world in their primitive tradition at its most spontaneous and improvised essence. Bobby Mc Ferrin was the one who took it and mixed it with jazz, contemporary music, madrigals, pop and all the music genres history. Later on other big artists like Bob Stoloff, WeBe3, or Oskar Boldre helped to spread it around the World creating the culture of Circle Singing and Vocal Improvisation. Martina was one of their student and she got her part of responsibility to share it around the world. The soQQuadro group in Milano, in 2011, thanks to the collaboration with Teatribù is the first group in the world that mixed the two arts of improv and vocal improv matching a perfect marriage creating the format “Larsen”. From this project Martina created a method of Vocal Improvisation for Improv players to find out deeper the marvellous connection between these two worlds.
